Ronald (Ron) K. Dailey is president of BWX Technologies, Inc. (BWXT) subsidiary Nuclear Fuel Services, Inc. (NFS) in Erwin, Tennessee, one of two locations licensed by the Nuclear Regulatory Commission to store and process highly-enriched uranium. He is also responsible for depleted uranium purification and processing as president of BWXT Ordnance Services and domestic uranium enrichment as president of BWXT Enrichment Services.
During his 30-year career, Mr. Dailey has served in various engineering, procurement, project management and operational roles across the chemical, aerospace and nuclear industries. He previously led facility operations at BWXT joint venture Syncom Space Services (S3) at NASA’s Michoud Assembly facility in New Orleans. While at Michoud, Mr. Dailey led S3 while supporting fabrication, transport and testing of NASA’s Space Launch System (SLS), the world’s most powerful rocket.
Before joining BWXT, Mr. Dailey worked at Dupont and Eastman Chemical Company, where he held several positions of increasing responsibility in engineering, international procurement and global project management.
Mr. Dailey holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology and is a licensed professional engineer with two patents related to solids holding technology improvements. He holds a certificate in operational excellence from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and completed the Senior Nuclear Power Management course with the Institute of Nuclear Power Operators. Mr. Dailey is also a member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) and the American Nuclear Society (ANS).
