Panel Discussion: Our Energy Future
Description

Much like the current state of our energy supply, our energy future is beholden to a complex landscape of social, technological and policy factors. While renewable sources ranging from the sun, wind and tides have made a dent in greenhouse gas emissions of late, they’ve barely kept pace with growing demand—especially given our embrace of power-hungry data centers and the AI capabilities they promise. Meanwhile, scalable nuclear power is resurgent, and even investments in fusion have crossed the billion-dollar mark. But for the foreseeable future, fossil fuels remain an essential part of the mix, even as the grids that mediate the consumption and supply of electrical energy already are stressed to the point of periodic brownouts and outages. What’s the world to do? And where will we find the money and workers to make it happen? Join this panel of industry leaders to hear more about our energy future and what’s at stake to make resilient, sustainable energy supply a reality for generations to come.
