At a time when many industry events are shrinking, eChem Expo continues to grow, delivering more sessions, more exhibitors, and more opportunities to connect. By aligning content with real purchasing needs, the conference ensures attendees walk away with actionable strategies and the right contacts to move their organizations forward.
Returning April 8–9, 2026, to the Meadowview Convention Center in Kingsport, TN, this biannual event combines a two-day PDH-accredited conference with a solutions oriented vendor expo floor, bringing together the people, technologies, and ideas shaping the industry’s future.
2026 Conference Tracks
Explore our eight educational tracks, shaped by real industry needs, that highlight the innovations, technologies, and strategies driving the future of chemical processing and manufacturing.
DAY 1:

Capital Effectiveness
featuring sessions such as:
Capital Effectiveness and Canned Motor Pumps: A System-Level Comparison
Capital equipment decisions affect reliability, maintenance and long-term cost. This session examines canned motor pump technology from a system-level perspective, highlighting material selection, sealing performance and testing standards. Learn how smart design choices can improve operational performance and overall capital effectiveness.

Operational Excellence
featuring sessions such as:
API 2000 Venting Design Limits Under Extreme Weather and Vapor Recovery Integration
Extreme weather and evolving emissions controls are challenging traditional venting design assumptions. This session explores how temperature swings, solar loading and rainfall events impact tank over pressure and vacuum conditions, and where API 2000 formulas may fall short. Attendees will gain practical insight into safer vent sizing, vapor recovery integration and real-world design risks.

Industrial Artificial Intelligence
featuring sessions such as:
Utility Asset Management Data Insights
This session will explore how AI can enhance utility asset management by improving equipment monitoring, predicting maintenance needs, and supporting more informed planning decisions. It will also outline practical steps for integrating AI tools and evaluating their long‑term value.

Workforce Development
featuring sessions such as:
Multimodal Learning and Accelerated Comprehension
This session will share how eBooks, mobile applications, and augmented reality can support multi-modal workforce development to accelerate onboarding, strengthen technical understanding, and build employee confidence. It will also outline methods for evaluating the effectiveness and return on investment in these training approaches using capital investment strategies.
DAY 2:

EHS & Compliance
featuring sessions such as:
Risk-Based Inspection of Steam Systems based on API 581: A Practical Approach
This presentation will showcase risk assessments for steam systems across a range of industrial applications, aligned with the API 581 methodology. Real-world case studies from sectors such as petroleum refining and petrochemical manufacturing will illustrate practical implementations.

Instrumentation for Process Reliability

Accelerating Turnarounds
featuring sessions such as:
Optimization of an Ethylbenzene/Styrene Splitter with RMP SP-type Structured Packings
This case study begins with the early days of SM production in the 50´s when the EB/SM splitters were equipped with mass transfer trays. Following progress through the 1980s and late 1990s, the 1st generation packings were progressively replaced by 2nd generation 250 and 350 m2/m3 high capacity structured packings. Our case study ends with the newest generation of structured packings, the RMP SP-type and its performance.
