The seminar will also cover the Inspection and Testing per API-598 ensures structural integrity and sealing performance through: Shell Test, Backseat Test and the Closure “Seat Test” (high-pressure and sometimes low-pressure gas) testing to confirm the wedge provides a reliable shut-off without exceeding maximum allowable leakage rates.

A brief Introduction for API-600 Scope, Comparative Context and Trim definition is also included: Covers wedge gate valves designed for heavy-duty service. The scope includes valves with flanged or butt-welding ends in sizes ranging from NPS 1 to NPS 42.
