Ben Waterland is the Nuclear Business Unit Manager at VSP Technologies, where he leads the company’s strategic initiatives within the nuclear power generation sector. In this role, he is responsible for developing growth strategies, building partnerships with utilities and OEMs, and expanding VSP’s presence across the nuclear energy supply chain.
Ben joined VSP Technologies in 2015 after graduating from Virginia Tech with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. Since joining the company, he has focused on improving system reliability through advanced fluid-sealing technologies.
Today, Ben works closely with nuclear utilities, engineering teams, and industry partners to improve the reliability, safety, and performance of critical systems. He leads initiatives that implement best practices for bolted flange joint assembly, proactive sealing programs, and documented cost-savings projects that help facilities reduce leakage, improve operational efficiency, and extend equipment life.
