Name
Enhancing Heat Transfer Efficiency in Petrochemical Processes
Description

Petrochemical & chemical facilities are continually adjusting operations to improve performance, increase capacity, and adapt to changing conditions, often placing added strain on existing heat transfer equipment. While installing larger or additional exchangers is common, it is not always the most efficient or cost-effective solution.
This presentation will highlight practical approaches to debottlenecking heat transfer systems and improving asset performance. It will introduce BROWN FINTUBE®, Metalforms’ patented hairpin heat exchanger technology, along with TWISTED TUBE® technology. TWISTED TUBE® offers enhanced reliability and has demonstrated up to 14% greater heat duty compared to conventional shell and tube designs without requiring new heaters or piping changes. An emergency hairpin retube case study will also demonstrate rapid, effective problem solving in critical situations.
Metalforms, through its acquisition of Koch Heat Transfer, brings decades of experience in optimizing existing equipment rather than replacing it. By applying targeted engineering solutions such as piping modifications, foundation adjustments, and system reconfiguration, we help achieve meaningful performance gains while maintaining the current footprint and avoiding disruption to Turnaround (TAR) schedules.
Attendees will gain insight into cost-effective solutions that enhance performance, extend equipment life, and maximize existing infrastructure.
